Intro:The movie "Precious" really spoke in volumes to a lot of people. Even though a depressing storyline the main character's outcome at the end of the film proved that even with all the odds against us we can still come out at the top and finally see in color.
We experience the good and the bad on this journey we like to call life. It's a rollercoaster ride that contains twists and turns that takes us places that we can never imagine. We live in a world where we cannot determine what happens tomorrow. However even though we cannot fully plan out our lives it doesn't mean that we cannot take full control of it and create a joyous outcome for ourselves. Harping on the negativity of what has burdened or stopped us from progressing positively only weakens us and places us in a dark and gray area. We cannot let what is holding us back determine how our lives are played out. It's important for us to remain optimistic about our future endeavors and take charge in what we think will be best for us and not worry about the said mistakes of the past.
Once we reach that euphoria of what makes us happy and what makes us smile we then see that all possibilities are endless. As we know time slows down for no one and we have to take advantage of the few joys that life throws at us every now and then. Forgetting the bad days can be a hard process but we have to learn from those experiences and turn them around in order for them to benefit us in the long run. When we begin to see life for what it truly is those bad days will become the least of our problems. Our stresses shall be lifted and we will open our eyes to the satisfactions that come our way.
Having this new found love for life and ourselves can only make us better people and that's something that can never be erased. The gray area that was once blinded us disappears from our eyes and from then on we can finally see in color. In the end I'm Just Saying......
My inspiration for this post of course came especially from the song "I Can See In Color" by Mary J. Blige which is also the theme song for the movie Precious. In my opinion you have to hear Mary sing this song live in order to feel the lyrics and get the true meaning of the song. So I've provided yall with just that so enjoy.
